Mission
Community Engagement:
Dancers Unlimited was created as free dance classes on Furlough Fridays, when Hawai`i public schools were closed due to budget cut. Since then, we have remained rooted in growing and refining our community programs. We have worked with partners in the US and abroad to provide public dance classes and events. Recently we launched MoveMeant, a program designed to encourage authentic movement expressions to facilitate community dialogues and celebrate the individual body.
Artistry:
Dancers Unlimited centers community engagement as a key part of our creative process. Our artistic voice blends Contemporary, Street and Club dance styles while being rooted in cultural practices. Our work seeks to inspire healing, facilitate dialogues and elevate authentic expressions.
